The Nakhimov Naval School
The Nakhimov Naval School was named after the Russian naval commander and the hero of the Crimean War admiral Pavel Stepanovich Nakhimov. It was founded in June 1944. The Nakhimov Naval School was designed to become a boarding school for the boys whose parents were killed during the Great Patriotic War. During its 73-years history the Nakhimov Naval School has held 69 graduations.Among its graduates the Nakhimov Naval School has 60 admirals and 14 generals. Five of the Nakhimov Naval School graduates were awarded the honorary titles of the Hero of the Russian Federation. |
